About Rob
Rob builds technology companies. He's a seasoned leader with executive experience with a proven track record. He also founded and cohosts numerous shows (more than 500 episodes!), including the BetaKit podcast, Entrepreneurs in Small Rooms Drinking Coffee, as well as Decelerator. Rob is passionate about creating - and is deeply embedded in - the innovation ecosystem.
Rob has run funded and bootstrapped startups for over a decade, including one of the first mobile companies in Canada, a market expansion from Dublin, and lived in NYC to help grow one of the companies. Most recently, he was on the executive team at TWG, helping grow and lead TWG to its acquisition by Deloitte, their second largest tech acquisition in Canada. He has also led significant enterprise new product development initiatives and lines of business at organizations such as AT&T Bell Labs, Bell Canada, and the Ontario Telemedicine Network.
He has also mentored and advised dozens of startups individually and via programs such as CFC IDEABOOST, Techstars, Startup Next, Forum Ventures, and many more. He is all about bringing innovative, customer-focused products and services to market. A writer and podcaster, Rob has also spoken at numerous events, including Global Blockchain Week, FITC, and Hotdocs. Rob is also known for putting the pun back into techno-punditry.
